FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Iceberg window film.

Can window film be installed on the front or rear window without joins?

Our technicians use a “shrink to fit” technique that shapes the film to the curve of the window. This lets us install film on the rear or front window in one piece, without joins.

Can window film be applied to every kind of glass, including over existing film?

Window film can be used on most glass, including insulated glass, though there are some limits. Window film cannot be applied over another layer of film.

Does window film give extra protection if the glass breaks?

If glass coated with window film breaks, the film keeps the pieces from falling into the room or car. This reduces injury and damage to people and property, and the film keeps the weather out until the glass is replaced.

What other benefits does Iceberg Window Films have?

Iceberg Window Films blocks 99% of ultraviolet radiation. Ordinary glass lets through more than 150 times as much UV, the main cause of fading, weathering and cataracts. Iceberg Window Films also reduces infrared light by up to 99% (on certain types).

What warranty does Iceberg Window Films give?

Iceberg Window Films gives a 5-year warranty to replace all damaged products. If there is a problem, bring your car to the nearest official dealer with your official warranty card, and it will be replaced according to the damage. You can check your warranty with your card number at warranty.icebergwindowfilm.com.

How do I clean window film?

Leave new film for up to 10 days so the adhesive fully bonds to the glass; drying time depends on weather and temperature. When cleaning, always use a cleaner without ammonia — ammonia tends to damage window film.

How is window film installed?

Installation is done by official Iceberg Window Films dealers. To find one, see the dealer list or contact us.
